Human Flu
One of the metal finishers at work brought in a bird he’d found outside. He had it in a box, and we in the wax dept. saw several people stop in their room to ‘ohh’ and ’ahh’
over it. Dana pointed it out, and my immediate thought was “Gross! Those things are rife with disease.”
Dana went over and asked what was up with the bird. The guy told her he’d found it, and it wasn’t doing too well. He thought it might be sick.
“Well,” she asked, “Why do you have it in here then? What if it has bird flu, and gets everyone sick?”
He replied…
(This is great)
“Well, they’re not birds, are they? So they aren’t going to get sick. It’s not called the ‘human flu’, is it?!”
True story!
