Laughter

Laughter can be the jumping-over-the-grave of a feeling that previously had you in its unrelenting grip. As such, laughter can signify a self-overcoming. The higher one’s intelligence is, the more one requires the liberating capacity of this kind of laughter. If God were a monster of wisdom, he would be perpetually in danger of laughing himself to death.

Warping Nature

As a child begins to grow (and if he is to grow) he will progressively enter into a realm of expanding psychic and physical horizons, and it is this that will propel & attract him outwards into the world, and into the mysteries of the Self. Many children of our time resist this flow by exerting all of their energies toward remaining perpetually ensconced within the womb of childhood. They pay an unimaginably high psychic price for doing this. In an unconscious or semiconscious attempt to avoid the risk that a real life brings and requires, they take the biggest risk of all and sacrifice any and every chance at happiness they can ever have.

You cannot thwart nature, you can only warp it.

Long Friendships

The current of the world works naturally against long friendships, which require a kind of supra-natural effort to maintain. I am willing to work against the current of dispersal if the “others” are, but I will not do it alone.
